A Day of Rescuing Cattle and Reuniting with Family: Jack’s Story

Today was a busy day on the prarie. I started my day early, as I always do, to check on my cattle. I had a few run-ins with some of the more stubborn ones, but I eventually got them all back in the pen. I then went to check on my horses, and found that one of them, Torres, had gotten out of the pen. I quickly saddled up my horse and went out to find him.

After a few hours of searching, I finally found him. He had gotten himself stuck in a mud pit, and I had to use a rope to pull him out. I was relieved to have him back safe and sound.

When I got back to the ranch, I was greeted by my nine children, who were all excited to see me. We spent the rest of the day together, playing games and telling stories. I told them the story of how I rescued my mother from a charging bull when I was a child. They were all amazed and inspired by the story.

As the day came to an end, I was reminded of how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family. I'm grateful for the life I have here on the prarie, and I'm thankful for the animals that I get to care for.
